Welcome to Our Hotel Bar and Grill
The Simpson Hotel is located 90 minutes north of Regina, Saskatchewan and 90 east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
The hotel was built in 1910, at a time when Saskatchewan was booming. If you are a history buff just ask for the Welcome to Simpson – Down Memory Lane history book. Interesting to know that the hotel was originally called the Adanac Hotel. Adanac is Canada spelled backwards. It was later renamed Grant’s Hotel. Back then the Canadian Pacific Railway trains would run some 300 meters just east of the hotel.
Today, the hotel still operates serving visitors and members of the local community alike. We purchased the hotel in 2007 and over the years have continued with both major and minor renovations. The hotel was upgraded with modern kitchen equipment and the roof and exterior were given a make-over. All rooms were reworked and 2 suites were outfitted with fridge, stoves and private baths.
We have operated the hotel as a small town family business.
Today the hotel has 7 rooms, 2 suites, a bar area, and restaurant. We have a pool room, 3 VLTs and a Western Canada Lotto counter.
We remain active in the community and have helped host the last two community homecoming.
We’d be happy to have you stop by anytime.
